New Music Added On ElectricFM
We're adding three new songs to ElectricFM's playlist this week, and this round is all about discovery. These may not all be household names yet, but each track brings together artists who have been building momentum in different corners of dance, electronic, and pop music.
Here's a closer look at what's new on ElectricFM this week.
Loek & Leon Lour - Focus
Loek teams up with Leon Lour on "Focus," a new release from Enhanced Recordings.
Loek is described by Enhanced as a multi-instrumentalist, DJ, producer, and songwriter, while Leon Lour returns to the label as a familiar name within the Enhanced catalog. For listeners who follow deeper and progressive-leaning dance releases, "Focus" is a solid introduction to two artists continuing to build their presence in the electronic scene.
PRAANA & Susie Ledge - Smoke Signals
PRAANA returns to Colorize with "Smoke Signals," a collaboration with singer-songwriter Susie Ledge. Colorize notes that the song is the seventh single from PRAANA's forthcoming album.
PRAANA is an alias of Tritonal, and Colorize says the project has drawn more than 30 million streams. Susie Ledge has also built a strong resume in dance music, with Colorize noting her songwriting and vocal work has contributed to more than 50 million streams across collaborations with artists including Roger Shah, Sunlounger, and Ciaran McAuley.
For listeners who may not know PRAANA by name, the project has been steadily carving out its own lane within melodic electronic music. "Smoke Signals" gives the station another track from that world while also spotlighting Susie Ledge, whose voice has appeared across a growing list of dance releases.
Ninajirachi & Porter Robinson - WannaCry
Ninajirachi and Porter Robinson join forces on "WannaCry," a collaboration released through NLV Records.
Ninajirachi is an Australian electronic artist who has been gaining attention for her high-energy, internet-era approach to dance and electronic pop. Stereogum called her one of the most exciting new electronic pop artists and noted that "WannaCry" is her new single with Porter Robinson.
Porter Robinson is the most established name on this week's add list, with a long-running fanbase in electronic music. The song's title references the 2017 WannaCry ransomware attack, and Genius describes the track as an electronic collaboration between Australian producer Ninajirachi and American producer Porter Robinson.
